Born out of the post-pandemic revival of live music, Mortis exploded onto the Warwick University scene in October 2021 with one mission: to deliver high-energy performances that get people dancing, singing, and moshing. With Luke Green (bass), Robbie Marlow (lead vocals and keytar), Ethan Stubley (guitar and backing vocals), Luke Raybould (guitar), and Nat Bonfield (drums) at the helm, the band wasted no time making their mark.

Just three weeks after forming, they debuted their electrifying anthem “Prison of the Mind” at their first gig on November 5, 2021. This fiery start was only the beginning—by March 2022, Mortis had cemented their place as one of Warwick’s premier acts, reaching the finals of the university’s prestigious Battle of the Bands competition.

Their sound is a dynamic fusion of rock and metal, blending filthy riffs, beefy rhythms, and anthemic choruses inspired by heavyweights like Avenged Sevenfold, Muse, Sleep Token, and Sum 41. Fans flocked to their debut EP, Fire is Disease (2022), featuring standout tracks like “Prison of the Mind” and “High Tide”, and their momentum only grew with the release of three 2024 singles: “Fortune,” “Pub Song,” and the hauntingly beautiful “Snowdrops.”

Now spread across the UK—from Devon to London—Mortis remains unstoppable. Despite the miles, they’re gearing up for a triumphant return to the stage in 2025, proving that distance is no match for their shared passion and relentless drive.

With their infectious energy and genre-bending sound, Mortis isn’t just a band; they’re an experience. Get ready to scream, dance, and lose yourself in the chaos. Mortis is back, and they’re louder than ever.
